From May 18 to 22, 2026, Tomás Carpio led a five-day ceramic sculpture workshop at the Taoxichuan Art Center in Jingdezhen, China. Participants explored the creation of fantastic and imaginary creatures through clay, drawing inspiration from intuition, memories, dreams, and personal imagination. The workshop encouraged artists to move beyond the limitations of realism and embrace the freedom of authentic handmade creation. Through guided demonstrations and hands-on experimentation, participants developed unique sculptural characters, transforming imagined beings into ceramic artworks that reflected their individual creative vision.
